Vibration Isolation Design
Vibration isolation of building services equipment such as airhandling equipment, pumps, transformers and emergency generators promotes lower levels of background noise in buildings. We can design vibration isolation systems to reduce structure-borne noise from building services equipment.
We can also design vibration isolated floors to reduce the
impact of noise and vibration that manifests itself as reradiated noise in areas such as fitness studios in residential of office buildings. Some laboratory equipment is vibration sensitive. If the building housing the equipment cannot be designed and constructed to protect the sensitive equipment, then the equipment will likely need to be supported by using vibration isolated supports, floating floors or active control systems.
